Free from WordPress.org. Set up in a few minutes.

ImgCrisp works on WordPress 6.0 or newer with PHP 8.0 or newer. Every feature is in the free plugin.

  1. 01

    Add the plugin

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins, then Add New Plugin. Search for ImgCrisp, then choose Install Now and Activate.

  2. 02

    Connect your API key

Open ImgCrisp, just below Media in the admin menu, then Settings. Paste the API key from your ImgCrisp account. Your free trial starts when you connect your first site: 50 images over 30 days, no card needed.

  3. 03

    Optimize your library

Go to ImgCrisp, then Bulk Optimize. Every change is logged, and every original is backed up so you can restore it.

  4. 04

Choose what happens to new uploads

New uploads are left alone until you switch on Optimize new uploads automatically in Settings. Until then, Bulk Optimize picks them up whenever you run it.
